On a 1991 honda civic the seatbelt alarm constantly goes off when the belts are hooked up.how can I stop this?
I have tried pulling fuses and everything else I can think of.I dont know what else to try and it is really getting on my nerves.
There is a micro switch in the driver’s seat belt latch that is not closing when you buckle up. A quick and easy fix is to find the wire(s) going to the latch and either ground it (one wire) or connect them (two wires). That should stop the alarm but then you won’t have the reminder if you do forget to buckle up. Or, find the buzzer/chime under the dash and disconnect it.
